The Tenth Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM10) will be hosted by Canada during the week of 27 May 2019, alongside the 4th annual Mission Innovation (MI4).
The CEM consists of 24 countries and the EU, who together account for 90% of all investment in clean energy in the world and 75% of global GHG emissions. In order to deal with the economic and financial crisis triggered by the collapse of Lehman Brothers, the former G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting was promoted to the summit-level meeting as a forum of leaders of major industrialized countries and emerging countries in November 2008. The first G20 Summit was held in Washington D. C.
After that, the leaders met every half year until 2010. Since 2011, it has been held once a year. The 2019 Summit will be held in Japan.

The Safe Access to Fuel and Energy (SAFE) Workshop is an annual training event of approximately 60 participants which strengthens the knowledge and capacity of actors who provide – or are interested to provide – fuel and energy solutions to refugees, internally displaced people (IDPs), and other vulnerable populations. It is also designed to facilitate productive partnerships between humanitarian and non-humanitarian actors through peer learning.
The 2019 SAFE Workshop is a joint production of the Safe Access to Fuel and Energy (SAFE) Humanitarian Working Group and the Global Plan of Action for Sustainable Energy Solutions in Situations of Displacement (GPA). The Humanitarian Energy Conference (HEC) is a new global event that convenes the broad community of actors and initiatives worldwide working to improve and expand energy access for displaced and crisis-affected people. Approximately 200-250 participants from over 40 countries and multiple sectors are expected to attend, including humanitarian agencies, NGOs, development organizations, private companies, governments, funding entities, and researchers.
The HEC is a critical opportunity for this diverse community to exchange knowledge, share best practices, and collaborate towards achieving the vision of affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern services for all crisis-affected people by 2030.
The AIDF Global Summit will be held in Washington, D.C. in September with the aim of sharing knowledge that collaboratively can have a positive effect on the global aid, relief and development community and thus getting one step closer to reaching the SDGs by 2030.Find Out More Register
