Please find attached an invitation to "Financing Clean Energy Access for Poor Households and Businesses: Lessons Learned from REMMP." This event is the Closing Workshop of the Renewable Energy Microfinance and Microenterprise Program, which has been implemented by Arc Finance with funding and support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The event will take place at the National Union Building 4th Floor North in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, September 13th from 9 am to 5 pm EST.
The core goal of REMMP has been to increase the availability of consumer financing for clean energy products and services to enable low-income populations to gain access to technologies that can improve their livelihoods and quality of life while mitigating climate change. The event will focus on the broad range of insights we have garnered from our partners as they have successfully implemented – and in some cases significantly scaled and expanded – their energy financing programs. At this event, we will celebrate REMMP’s achievements, and will discuss challenges and highlight innovations in the business models and approaches that were explored and nurtured under REMMP. The Arc team and leading practitioners supported under REMMP will share their experiences in presentations and panel discussions. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org by September 8th if you would like to attend.
Also attached is an invitation to an event hosted by Winrock International on September 12th for a sister program that focuses on financing approaches for the cookstove sector. Please register here or contact Winrock directly if you would like to attend that event.
We are very much looking forward to seeing you in September!
