Training on Safe Access to Fuels and Energy (SAFE) in Humanitarian Settings

The Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves, the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC), and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) invite you to attend a training from June 16-17, 2014 in Kigali, Rwanda on Safe Access to Fuels and Energy (SAFE) in humanitarian settings. The training will include an optional field visit to a refugee camp on June 18. 

The training is meant for humanitarian staff and relevant stakeholders to learn more about:

  • Key concepts and challenges relating to SAFE in humanitarian settings 
  • The cross-cutting nature of energy issues and needs in humanitarian contexts 
  • How to identify context-appropriate solutions for ensuring access to energy for displaced and vulnerable populations 
  • Others’ experiences in the field 
  • SAFE tools and resources
