Call for Case Studies on Energy in Humanitarian Settings

The Sustainable Energy Technologies for Food Security in Humanitarian Contexts (SET4food) initiative has launched a Call for Case Studies to select significant examples of sustainable actions in the field energy access in humanitarian settings. Deadline for Applications is March 2nd 2018.

Case Studies should constitute practical examples of sustainable energy interventions implemented to respond to the needs of crisis-affected populations such as refugee camps or emergency contexts. Actions should highlight outstanding successful results significantly contributing to enhance the quality of life among target beneficiaries in a sustainable and effective way. Applications are welcome from all types organizations.

The best Case Studies will be awarded in a ceremony during a special event organized by the SET4food initiative, in the spotlight of relevant humanitarian and development international organizations, donors, and private sector companies. The award event will be held in Milan - Italy, on 12 April 2018. The best case studies will be included in a booklet prepared for the event, disseminated through relevant communication channels and networks and shared on the ENERGYCoP platform, specifically serving humanitarians working on energy access. In addition, one representative of the selected Case Studies will be invited to Milan for the award event, the costs of travel and accommodation will be ensured by SET4food.
